This was one of the best book series I have ever read. Serious. In this book we finally get to read Stephen's story; he is the paramedic of the O'Malley family. After what happened in The Healer, Stephen decides he needs to get away and think and decide what he really wants to do with his life. He does a lot of soul searching and ends up in the small town of Silverton. There he spends some time with an old friend, Meghan, who used to be an ER nurse before a horrific accident took her sight. This was a beautiful story and I loved it and was so sad to see the series end. Please read this entire series from beginning to end, as Dee has outdone herself. You won't regret it!! :)

Last in the series of the O'Malley love stories. I particularly enjoy how the author talks to God through the characters as a real Christian does daily when problems or cares come up. This O'Malley bunch has been an interesting lot. It was interesting how they reacted when one of there own leaving for their heaven home. I really enjoy Dee's books!!
Dee Henderson is a great author-She develops her characters, story lines, she does all this without unsavory language, sexual themes or over the top violence. All the O'Mally Series books are well written, keep you interested and have a "happy" ending.
Read all Dee Henderson books-Good books and good stories and based on good examples in how to get through life with humor, morals and relationships with others.
I've read this whole series now and have absolutely loved every book - the characters are so in depth and fun. You can really connect with them and feel their empathy. They really show the heart of believers and how much they desire for others to feel the freedom that they do, they also give non-believers a good overview of the gospel and how Jesus stands for love, nothing more, nothing less, just love and he loves you just where you're at... he made you who you are, he doesn't want to change you, only heal you and love you. Dee does a great way of showing this love.

Like the other books in this series, The Rescuer combines romance and adventure in the tale of the search for the ultimate love relationshiip, that which we may en;joy with Jesus Christ both now and forever. Meghan is a terrific character and love interest for Stephen O'Malley and as with the O'Malley brothers and sisters themselves quickly becomes a friend for the reader. I have this and the other books in the series in paperback, on and on Audible and they are all part of my list of books I will read over and over again.
What a wonderful book, thank you Ms. Henderson for this series. It is great to see the characters settled in their lives. Even though I would love to have read more of their stories. The characters were fantastic, the setting is wonderful as always. Thank you again, will recommend this series to my grandchildren.
Stephen is the last holdout. The obstacles to him accepting Christ are are centered not on the truth and validity of the Bible - he has come to believe. No, for him the obstacle is whether he is willing to pay the price of following Jesus. He has too much integrity to be a lukewarm Christian, and he thinks he will have to follow a bunch of rules he would only fail to keep. He is afraid of trying to be a Christian and failing, disappointing God and disappointing family. He has trouble believing the God of the universe really wants a personal friendship with him. His journey is compelling and very believable. It gives me a lot of insight into a powerful stumbling block.

Oh, and the sub-plot, considered by many to be the plot, is fascinating. It is the only Dee Henderson book in which too many of the details are left to the reader's imagination. How did Jonathan gets the initial photos of the jewelry and how did he get the women to wear those exact pieces of jewelry a second time without raising any suspicions?
