And boy do I love Lori Wilde's first book in her new series that takes place in Stardust, Texas. Lori hit a homerun right out of the Texas Gunslinger' park with Back In The Game.

Romance was full of cliches naive, nice heroine who suddenly becomes sassy and full of
life with alpha male hero. There's insta-love that feels completely forced. The hero quickly goes from being a lifelong commitmentphobe to suddenly realizing that he should settle down after meeting Breeann. Wilde does a lot of describing instead of showing the characters' feelings. The whole thing felt completely unrealistic.
This is the first book in a new series by Lori Wilde. Lori Wilde writes books that make you feel like you are part of the story. The stories are fun, romantic, and very addictive.
Breeanne Carlyle has lived a sheltered life due to serious health problems. She finally gets a clean bill of health and decides it is time to focus on her career as a writer. She gets the chance of a lifetime to be a ghostwriter writing hometown boy, Rowdy Blanton's story of fame as a baseball player.
Life takes some very interesting twists and turns and the ending is so much fun.
I highly recommend any books by Lori Wilde.
Lori Wilde has done it again, this new Stardust Texas series is a home run!!! Back in The Game is the first book and it's a fantastic start. This is Rowdy and Breeanne's story and it's a wonderful love story with a lot of heart. Both characters have scars they have to come to terms with and with the help of each of other they find love and happiness. This was a book that I read from start to finish in one day, I couldn't put it down I loved it that much. I can't wait to see the next Carlyle sister fall in love in the next book, I will definitely be reading that one!! Thank you Lori for another great series, another great Texas small town and another great cast of wonderful characters to love.
Another Lori Wilde book that I loved. Ms. Wilde writes the kind of books that make you feel good. That's the simplest way to describe them.
This story is about Rowdy Blanton. An ex pitcher who can no longer pitch because he was mugged and badly beaten by a group of thugs. He knows what everyone believes happened and why but, he also knows the truth.
In walks Breeanne Carlyle. A ghostwriter hired to write Rowdy's biography. She knows that he never gives interviews and is a gruff, impatient man but, she sees something beneath the surface that she's determined to pull out of him.
The war of words between the two of them and, the sexual chemistry, starts burning from the first and continues throughout the book. This is one of those books you don't want to put down because you just know that each page is going to get better!!! And it does!
I really enjoyed Lori Wilde's Back in the Game. It is a very sweet and charming story. It is Breanne and Rowdy's story, or as Rowdy likes to call her, Breezy. A sick little girl in the hospital, meets the local hometown baseball hero, Rowdy Blanton. She has a crush on him for her entire life and then through a little bit of magic, or fate, she becomes his ghostwriter. Rowdy and Breezy help each other heal. They develop a friendship as well as a great deal of sexual attraction and frustration. I love the way Rowdy helps Breezy experience the things she has missed growing up with a congenital heart defect and numerous surgeries. It was refreshing to meet a man, who put patience and restrain above his own sexual needs in order to take Breezy through all the bases. Throughout the story, the support of Breanne's family, the love they all share, the love of the sisters and the bond they share was ever present. My one regret about the story was the lack of information/details about Rowdy's resolution to the problems with his team manager.
