Okay, the first book was free and I have paid 99 cents for each of the other 2, thinking cheap reads, a way to wile away late night insomnia. But it has turned into a chore. 2 young woman with super powers and not a lick of decency between them, dragging on love affairs with ex - boy friends while in the guise of a single entity , one who is an uncle to one, the other a brother to the other..... you have to read to get this mess....... They are tasked with saving the world, which is scary in that one is a simpering baby, the other a tough chick with no clue as to how to interract with others without beating up or disintigrating anyone who ticks her off. I am still not certain I will bother finishing #2. The stories are interesting enough, but the characters are boobs. I give 2 stars for originality, but sure wish I could like the characters more.
Interesting read and a great continuation of the first book. Engaging style of writing. I must admit I've never come across a SciFi/Romance before and was surprised at how well the two blended together. I'm not really a fan of SciFi or Romance, but read the first book on a whim. Kept turning the pages of the first and had to read the second. There is just enough drama and action to keep you going, but not enough to make you want to tear the book apart or throw it in a corner somewhere. Already looking forward to reading more by this author.

I love the characters in these books, they are powerful, yet sensitive to their needs and the needs of others. Their revenge is sweet, very provocative. Their inspiring, they make you feel their pain as well as their triumphs. Their sexy, funny, amazing and loyal despite their differences. Some loyalties have been tarnished with the help of others and have caused a lot of problems, but when it comes down to it they do what needs to be done. After all they are part human.
I absolutely loved Paramount and the characters and could not wait to start the 2nd in the series. Nadia creates a new meaning for the word Deva..supernatural being with an attitude. I really like Pax, Thorn and even Ash. Mara on the other hand just gets on my nerves--her whining and shallowness are just annoying. I admire intelligence but not total self absorption and which is what she is about. I look forward to the next book in the series.
So having read all 3 books in the series so far, I have to admit I like the overall story. Most likely because it reminds me of the Dragonball Z TV series.
In that series, the characters were Sayans, in this one they are Devas (basically Gods). But the powers and capabilities of the group in these books is very similar to the Dragonball series.
The characters are well written and if you let yourself believe that they exist in the world Nadia created, then you may enjoy the books as much as I have.
If Dragonball Z seemed too far fetched for you to grasp, then you may want to pass on this series.
This is book 2, and I am in. It definitely takes you away and plunges you into a whole new world. While I love Para...I am dying for her to be caught!!!! I cannot wait for that day. I imagine some might start getting annoyed with this secret dragging on, but so far I'm still feeling okay about it. I loved the parts with Nyssa, but now that the future has changed, we have no idea what that means for HER future. I know she had a small part, but I wanted to know more about her. I am hoping that will be further explored in future books.

I love this series so far. I just finished this book and have a TON of questions, and luckily the next book is waiting for me to read. So yeah. I'm gonna go do that right now.
