This book is amazing. While the story is about Liv helping Diego find his daughter who ran away, it also teaches an important truth.
As Diego and Liv search for Kylie, they are drawn to each other. But both come with baggage. All her life Liv has been told she was put on Earth to hurt men. Ever since his half brother's suicide, Diego had blamed himself and others reinforced it with hurtful words.
This book is suspenseful and has a great storyline. But the greatest part is learning to not listen to negative self talk and learning to not let the harmful hateful words of others define us but to learn to listen to God's word. We need to see ourselves as God does and to value His opinion above the opinion of others. It's so easy to believe the bad and to not forgive ourselves for past mistakes. This book shows what can happen when we listen to God rather than men.

It's never too late for God to show up and heal hearts that have been broken by cruel words. He heals the broken hearts and binds up their wounds. Great to reconnect with Liv after having read about her in Heart Healed.
This book had great characters and a plot that was developed as real. In the world today. These people struggled in their walk with the Lord. They dealt with things that were real.
It is amazing what can be restored when we allow the master healer (Jesus) to have control of our lives. This book portrays a wonderful story of God’s grace in the lives of everyone in the story.
Diego’s newfound daughter Kylie has run away and his brother Rat has asked Liv to help find her. Phillip, Miriam and Zeke are also part of the story as well as Mari. Diego and Liv both have things in the past they are blaming themselves for and this story is a journey with them to forgive themselves as God has forgiven them. Another touching Heart story by this author. Looking forward to what else she has in store for this series.
Two broken people, Liv, a feisty woman rancher, and Diego, a math teacher in Houston have to work to locate Diego's daughter who has run away from home. Liv is a former PI and has a military background. Diego didn't even know he had a daughter from an affair he had when he was eighteen. The two initially clash, but then in the midst of trying to find his daughter somehow, despite the hurry to find Kylie and even with their haunted pasts the attraction both compels and repels. Several people in books set in Rio Azules show up in this book too.

in the form of a petite cowgirl named Liv.
Both want to focus on finding the missing girl .. both have emotional baggage .. and both find themselves falling in love.
Oh .. and someone keeps sending threatening messages and have been trying to kill them.
Can they find the girl in time, find the killer, and heal each other's hearts to let each other in?

Throughout the book is dealing with issues including
guilt over a suicide, loss of a loved one, PTSD, physical injuries, and being scared of horses.
Yet love is stronger than all of it, if we find the right person to heal....

If you are looking for suspense, romance, faith,
and completely screwed-up characters that you can relate to,
and enjoy contemporary setting,
you'll find it here in Heart Restored.

While this is my favorite book cover so far ....
I look forward to reading other books by Alexa Verde in the future!
